As Director of IT and Support Services, Peter takes ownership for leading a new IT and Support Services team with the following charter:
- Driving internal IT deployment, operations (with emphasis on service availability and business continuity), end-user support, and operating Unify2’s PowerMon cloud infrastructure.
- Providing quality software assurance support services to our enterprise customers of our products, including PowerMon support services.
- Leading Unify2 PowerAssurance, Unify2’s Premier Support for Lync offering.
In his former role as a Unify2 UC Architect, Peter brings over 4 years of architecture and consulting expertise on Office Communications Server, Lync Server and Voice deployments at some of the largest global rollouts.
Peter was previously a Senior Consultant for Unified Communications at Resolute Solutions, where he implemented OCS Voice and Exchange Unified Messaging solutions for large enterprise customers in the Pacific Northwest.
Previously, as Manager of Distributed Computing at Alaska Airlines, Peter assembled and managed a new department for the airline, with the mission of increasing the cost-effectiveness, reliability, performance, and security of Alaska Airlines’ networks and distributed systems. He led Windows architectural design and created deployment/lockdown/administration standards for a network of 5000 Microsoft Windows NT desktops, 130 Windows NT Servers spanning over 80 sites.
Subsequently, Peter was a Senior Analyst at Directions on Microsoft in Kirkland, Wash., where he researched and wrote over 190 articles covering Microsoft E-mail, Instant Messaging, Telephony, Networking, Mobility, and other areas. He became recognized as a software industry expert, and has often been quoted by the industry press and publications such as the Wall Street Journal.
Peter has an MBA in Information Systems from the University of California Los Angeles, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
