Riccardo's Bio:
Riccardo is a Software Development Engineer at Unify2 Europe based in Zurich, Switzerland, where he builds client side solutions on Microsoft's Lync SDK.
Riccardo has been a Software Engineer for several years: previously he spent close to 5 years in Microsoft, Switzerland as a member of the team that built Microsoft Communicator 2007 R2 Attendant and Microsoft Lync Attendant. This experience enabled Riccardo to be an early adopter and become expert in two of the most exciting Microsoft client side technologies: the Lync SDK and Window Presentation Foundation. He is also one of the developers who created "Response Group Agent Live", a tool part of the Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Resource Kit.
Riccardo is passionate about building an exceptional UX on top of a good–looking UI especially for small form factor, touch based devices: prior to working for Microsoft, Riccardo worked for Divitech where he developed GPS navigation systems running on devices with screen size varying from 3" to 7" and larger, that are used by Italian Law Enforcement. Riccardo's early experiences with H323–based VoIP led to him developing a framework for rapid creation of touch based interfaces.
Riccardo's passion for human–computer interactions dates back to his university years when he collaborated to different projects about human–computer interaction based on human movement and its qualities, he is also co–author of several research papers on the subject.
